Football Defensive Performer of the Week

The Defensive Performer of the Week for week 1 goes to St. Joes Regional Linebacker, Evan Stewart (@estewart_6). Coach @jeremy_epts had the chance to work with Evan at this springs Nike Regional Combine and was very impressed with his size, speed, and instincts in pass coverage. "Stewart's one of the top defensive players in North Jersey. He's moved from safety to linebacker this season and wasted no time settling into his new position.

The Boston College-bound Stewart racked up 11 tackles (including three for losses) with two pick-sixes in the Green Knights' 44-21 win over Deerfield Beach (Fla.)."
